I suck at being on-camera. 😰
This isn’t a self-hate comment and I’m not fishing for compliments. The reality is I’m just kinda awkward at being on-camera. In fact, I sucked at pretty much everything I’ve ever tried. Photography, video production, design, teaching, business. 🤦♂️
But I decided to keep doing some of these things, even though I sucked at them. And over time, I got better. 📈
Now I’m able to charge above-average rates, work with phenomenal clients and make a full-time living using these skills I USED to suck at. This wasn’t an accident, it was literally just putting one foot in front of the other and not quitting. That’s it.
There’s a few more things I suck at, but since the creator economy is here to stay, I’m CHOOSING to work on them - even if they make me extremely uncomfortable. I’m forcing myself to grow and develop skills that don’t come natural to me.
And this video explains why you should do the same.
